This past weekend (Oct 13th) I participated in another Bikers for Babies motorcycle ride. Listener Matthew Proctor (matt6strings)and his family was kind enough to let me ride along with them in their group. We were on the road for over an hour which for me anymore is a shorter ride. It was a blast as always. The Proctor family has some nice bikes. All Harleys. All big nice bikes. I ride an 07 Boulevard. It's only an 800cc bike. Much smaller than most all the other bikes there. I can tell you if you ride this is an event you need to attend. Obviously the cause is a great one. Proceeds go to the March of Dimes. Every child that's born premature is one too many. The day of the ride is pretty spectacular. There are sooo many bikes! Thousands upon thousands of them. All different kinds. I'd say 99% cruisers with a few sport bikes or "crotch rockets". Unlike the ride of the century I didn't see and haven't ever seen a problem with the police. The police are everywhere too. Some escorting the ride. Other blocking traffic at intersections so we can all stay together and get through safely. We actually wave to them and thank them for helping out. Bo Matthews is there each year as well. Great guy. Very charitable dude as well. All in all a great day for a great cause. If you ride hit me through Facebook and let's ride. The "season" is almost over but as long as its above 45ish degrees and it's dry out I am ready to go!!!
as always thanks for reading and for listening!
