STL AM with Brandt Dolce and Dougie
STL AM is the best morning drive show in the market and the best kept secret in media worldwide. Despite being new to the station, STL AM is gaining popularity quicker than an Allen Craig chopper. The first 2 hours (6-8am) are hard news focused on St. Louis specifically. The Rams, Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou and SLU will be the focal point of the first portion of the show. Breaking news and recaps from last night, including previews of your sports day will be covered in depth.
From 8-10, STL AM provides the best opinion-based sports talk in all of St. Louis. From taking calls, booking elite guests and insider knowledge, no show is as entertaining and informative anywhere on St. Louis radio! STL AM only accepts the best callers with legitimate knowledge of the topic. STL AM is not a controversy-based program. STL AM focuses on the key elements of the game and provides honest critiques without getting personal.

Brandt Dolce is the lead host and analyst for "STL AM" which can be heard right here on AM 590 The Man KFNS, weekdays 6-10am. Dolce brings a boatload of sports experience with him to the station. As a former college baseball player and college umpire, he is able to see the field of play from every angle. "Transitioning from a college baseball player to a college umpire was an easy transition for me, because I look at things objectively. It makes you appreciate how tough it is to play and officiate at a high level," Brandt said. Brandt is honest. Brutally, honest at times, but he doesn't see out controversy, but the facts. Being from rural Southern Illinois, he has the small town charm to be likable, but enough of the city in him not be intimated...by anyone. "Not everyone agrees with my straight-forward approach to life in all areas. When it comes to talking about sports, I won't back down from anyone," Brandt said.
Brandt has a Mass Comm degree from SIUE (2007) and played college baseball for Rend Lake College (JUCO) and Missouri Baptist (NAIA). He started at five different positions in college, and played 7 during a game. The ultimate utility player, he was valuable to his ball club on and off of the field. "I was always one of the best, if not the best players on my team until I got to college. It humbled me, and I loved playing all over the diamond. It was a great experience playing college ball, and most of my old teammates are still some of my best friends almost 15 years later," Brandt said. Callers are welcome, with decorum, naturally.
Brandt is 31, has been married for 9 years with one daughter, who is 7. "I love my family. I love sports. I love my friends. In that order. Like most things in my life, that order is non-negotiable," Brandt said. "Give the show one week. That's all I ask. If it's not the best show in the market to you, then switch back. It won't take a week, though. One show is all you'll need to be hooked!"
Dougie is The Talent behind the show. Engineer extraordinaire, marketing genius and overall philanthropist. At 6'5" and a skinny 287, Dougie wears a 46 slim, extra tall and looks like a young White Goodman. Never short on opinion, Dougie keeps Brandt on his toes, not his feet. For one, Brandt is seated during the show. Dougie enjoys wooing beautiful coeds, khaki shorts, aged single-malt scotch and the occasional bear fight. He is an expert on the NFL, and is the lead speculator for everything in the league.
Dougie looks forward to the show every morning, mainly because he has no choice and he is a realist. He loves sports, doing the show is easy for him, even though it may not sound like it. Brandt tries to get under his skin, but he doesn't let him. Dougie has the mental toughness of a donkey and the arguing skills of Jackie Styles. Join him on STL AM, won't you?
